What a silly Daddy...

Tonight right after her bath...

New link

I added a new link to my sidebar ("Emotional Toothpaste"), it's some girl who is on a friend of a friend of a friend of a friend's website. I couldn't even tell you which friends those were though, I'm addicted to reading blogs and I just keep clicking and clicking and clicking to read more. You get my point. ;o)

I will be posting new pictures of Brynn soon, I'm hoping to take her to see Santa this weekend!!

I can't believe that this is post # 111 already. That means that everyone who reads this knows atleast 110 things about me that you didn't know a year ago. Crazy.

A friend e-mailed this site to me tonight and I thought I'd share because I thought it was pretty cool. Go to www.paulsadowski.com and you can find out what your name means and you can also find out some cool info about your birthday. Check it out when you get a chance!!

Good deed for the day

Tonight while Chad and I were working on putting up the Christmas tree, the doorbell rang. It was a girl who looked like she was in high school and had been crying. She asked if she could use our phone, she tried to get a hold of someone to come and pick her up but didn't get an answer. She walked away and I asked Chad if she was wearing a jacket, because it was freezing outside (ok, probably like 50-60 something degrees) and he said no so I told him to go get her. We gave her one of my sweatshirts and Chad asked her where she was headed. It turned out to be about 3-4 miles away from where we live so Chad gave her a ride back to her neighborhood and she finished the walk to her house.

She said "Thank you, thank you, thank you very much!!".

Chad's response? "MERRY CHRISTMAS!!" ;o)

Good deed for the day? Check.

Milo and friends

Last year just before Labor Day, Jake, one of Chad's friends, told Chad that he had these three cats wonder into his yard and he didn't know what to do with them. Chad called me and asked if we could take them in until we could find them homes. So, being the sucker that I am, I told him ok but we need to find them homes ASAP because this wasn't going to be a long term thing. The next day, Chad brought home a mama cat, a girl and a boy kitty. The night that I told Chad yes, we went to PetSmart and spent $200 on cats that I told him we weren't going to keep. The mama cat, who we named "Smudge", the grey girl kitty, who we named "Steeler", and the orange boy kitty, who we named "Milo" were all really good cats, they all went potty in the litter box right away. This is Milo and his family. (Note: Smudge had no tail, Steeler and 1/2 of a tail and Milo has a HUGE tail. He must get it from his Daddy!)

A few months before we took in Milo and his family, Lindy's cats Mariah and Tyler passed away. Lindy had them for 15+ years and they were like kids to her. Chad and I were hoping that she would take one of them so she wouldn't be by herself. Lindy decided that it was too soon for her to get another kitty, so after several hours of researching, we gave Smudge and Steeler to a local "NO KILL" rescue. (If you live in the area and want the phone number, please let me know. They were great!) I was a sucker and let Chad talk me into keeping Milo because he was a fun kitty and fit in perfectly at our house because he had an attitude and could stand up for himself. I told him that as long as he PROMISED to clean out the litter box EVERY DAY for as long as we had him, he could keep him. Yep, I really am a sucker.

About a month and a half later, Chad and I got married and went on our honeymoon for two weeks(!). Lindy stayed at our house and watched Melody, Allie and Milo for us. She had a lot of fun because Milo was still a tiny kitty and Mel was a tiny little fuzzball of a puppy. Milo and Mel became best friends because they grew up together. When we first brought Mel home, she was only 5 weeks old and still wasn't very strong on her feet, so Milo would jump on her and they would fall over and wrestle. This is where Milo first thought he was a dog. When Mel learned to sit for treats, so did Milo!! (Yes, I'm serious!)

Remember how I told you that Chad liked Milo because he had an attitude? Well, for a while, Milo and Chad avoided each other. Milo used to get mad at Chad because Chad would pick on him. Chad would tell me that Milo was my cat because Milo didn't like Chad anymore. When Chad had some time off a few months ago, he and Milo became close again.

A few months ago, we decided that we were going to sell our house and rent for a while so that we could get some things taken care of and not be so stressed out about money anymore. Chad found the perfect house for us last month, other than the fact that we can't have cats. So, I called Lindy and she came to the rescue. She is starting a new job (TOMORROW! YAY!) and wanted another cat to keep Willow from getting lonely during the day. (Willow is her other new cat that she got at the end of last year.)

So, Lindy flew down last Wednesday and was here until Monday. Milo got to go on his first (and only!) plane ride!! He wasn't happy about it at all. He hates his carrier. Lindy said that he did really good though. She said that when she went through security, they actually made her take him out of the carrier and walk him through!! She said she had one of the security guys help her get him back in since they made her take him out!!

Milo seems to be doing well, he's been checking everything out and is trying to make friends with Willow. She isn't having it. He's in her house and he has to follow her rules. Lindy said that when Milo gets close to Willow, she growls at him. She said he keeps trying though. ;o) Milo also gets to hang out on the patio now, he saw snow for the first time the other day!!

Because I'm a picture freak, here are a ton of pictures of when Milo was growing up, including a few that Lindy sent me from Colorado!!

Don't drink and...

Bits and pieces of a conversation online tonight with a friend (who shall remain nameless... even though you can probably figure it out!!):

Me: Brynn got her 4 month shots today, she's had a rough afternoon/early evening!! she was soooo upset!!
Her: :( bummer! I am on crutches! i know how she feels
Me: what?! what the heck did you do????
Her: Fell out of a golf cart then got run over by it!
Me: OH MY GOSH!!
Her: I know. It was at M...'s company's golf outing
Me: drunk driving or drunk riding?
Her: drunk riding! good call;)
Me: that is too funny!! i mean i know it's really not but it's quite the story! so what the heck happened?? did you sprain your foot or something?
Her: well its cut really bad because they tried to pull me back in while my foot was dragging on the cement....as i was standing there realizing what happened.........the guy driving the cart drove over my foot................

Lesson learned: It's ok to drink and drive... not ok to drink and ride in a golf cart at your husband's company's golf outing. OOPS!

E... you and your stories crack me up!! ;o)

New look!

Not me, just the page. I was kind of getting bored with the pink and was ready for a change!!

Heidi has this really cool map thing on her page and I decided that it would be cool to put it on my page too. So, now, my page is cool. For quite a while, I've been wondering who actually reads this thing besides the people that put comments on it and this is kind of a neat way to do it. Unfortunately, it doesn't tell you who it is, but how often people do read it. I can pick a few out though, like my cousin Sharon who practically lives in Canada (!) and you can tell there are some in Arizona and Ohio but as for the others, I'm not quite sure!!

New Brynn pics will be posted this week, things have just been crazy lately!! To hold you over, here's one of Chad holding her while she's standing up and checking out Allie, we took this at the old house.

Stay tuned for more!!

Party on 12/28 in Wooster!!

My parents are throwing a "get together/party/whatever you want to call it" on December 28th at their house in Wooster at around 6pm (it's also Bri's birthday!). I'll send out a reminder later but I'm hoping that you'll mark your calendars so everyone can meet Chad and Brynn, if you haven't already!!

Kids are invited too - we want to meet everyone!!

Please let me know if you can come, or are hoping to come!! YAY!!

I'd also like to plan a night out with a bunch of people... WITHOUT the kids. So, if you have any suggestions on what to do for that, or when, let me know!! (Maybe we can do this on the 29th since it's a Saturday night??)

Chad, Brynn and I will be in town from Christmas night until January 1st.

Hope to see you while we're in town... it doesn't happen very often!!

Sick

Brynn was sick on Thursday and Friday, so I stayed home with her. Saturday afternoon, I got really sick and still am not feeling great. Chad got really sick last night and is still feeling horrible. Hopefully we'll all be over it within a day or two.

Chad (along with a few friends) moved the majority of our large stuff before he got sick yesterday. We're still trying to get settled in and will move the rest of the stuff when we're back up to par. ;o(

More updates later, will have internet access from home on Thursday.

Holy moly

Lots of West updates! Things are starting to get better. We still haven't won the lottery though.

* Our house is "pending" - please please please cross your fingers for us that it goes through!! We're moving to another house in Mesa, it has a three car garage so of course, to Chad, this is the perfect house for us!! Send me an e-mail or put a comment on here if you would like our new address!!

* Chad started his new job yesterday and loves it!! YAY!!

* Brynn is getting SO BIG! She makes herself smile all the time!!

* Lindy is flying in next Wednesday and is staying until Monday, she's going to take Milo back to Colorado with her!! She's starting a new job soon and we think that Willow is going to be lonely during the day, so it's perfect that Lindy is going to take him!! We're bummed that he's going to be leaving but we know he's going to a good home and will be completely spoiled and will turn into a big fat cat... Lindy loves to give treats!! This will just give us more of an incentive to go to Colorado for vacations!!

Internet access is going to be limited for a little while, I'll post more when I can!!

3 month pictures

She's getting so big!!

Go Packers!

Yesterday morning, we got to take Matt to one of his last football games!! We've been meaning to make it to a few more but things have been a little crazy lately and this was the first that we've been able to make it to!! (* This is kind of a recap for TJ and Jenn too because they're in Hawaii for a week and are enjoying a well deserved week long vacation... by themselves!!)

We got to practice a little before 8am and Matt was only one of three that were there when they were supposed to be!! Oh well, atleast this way he got a little more one-on-one time!! He did great!!

Matt even had his own cheerleader!

Here's a video that we took at the practice and a bunch of pictures that we took as well!!
