Word Of The Day
Refridgerator or fridge?
FRIDGE. Refridgerator is a tongue twister, especially if you've had a drink. Or two.

Her: Anywho I have to finish folding underwear and then get in bed!
Me: Um, you don't need to fold your underwear...
Her: Ha ha, yes I do, that drawer has socks, underwear for reg wear and working out, sports bras and my suit. It's a busy drawer!!
Ha ha ha... she has busy drawers...

Word Of The Day
(It's turning into a weekly word...)
String cheese or strip cheese? Chad made fun of me today because I called it strip cheese. Normally I call it string cheese but for whatever reason, I thought back to elementary school when Bri and I used to call it strip cheese. You pull the cheese off in strips. Hmph.

Long Time No See
Last Sunday, we went to visit the O'Shaughnessy's!! Erin and Mike haven't seen Brynn since last September, we figured it was about time we all got together!! Erin and Mike have two weiner dogs, Cooper and Quinn. When we walked in, Brynn didn't know what to think of them. We kept telling her that they were "pups" but I don't think she believed us because she was pretty freaked out!! After a few minutes, she was laughing and having a good time.
Quinn really loved her, he kept giving her kisses, nibbling on her fingers and they even chased each other!!
Brynn eventually found a squirt bottle and decided that instead of her cup, she wanted to drink out of the water bottle!!
Here are some pictures from our goofy afternoon!!

14 Months Old!!
Brynn, you turned 14 months old a few days ago and of course, I can't believe it. It's already been 2 months since your big birthday bash!!
You've really developed your own little personality. You've started to smile at EVERYONE to get them to smile back at you; you know you're cute and you're taking full advantage of it!!
You love grapes, especially green ones. Just like your Daddy. This morning I caught you with 5 of them in your mouth, attempting to shove one more into those chubby cheeks of yours. I said "BRYNN!" pretty loud, you opened your mouth (I think I freaked you out a little) and all of them came rolling out. Mel enjoyed them almost as much as you did. She's our Brynn-crumb catcher. She lays under your high chair waiting for anything you drop, throw or spit out. It doesn't matter what it is, she loves it. Last week, your Daddy caught her with her front paws on the foot part of your high chair trying to get to all of your leftovers in your seat. We were both surprised that the highchair didn't break, considering she weighs like 70lbs!!
You love Allie's kisses and when she comes running at you when she's excited. She gets you all excited and then you squeel and laugh like crazy. You always try to poke her eyes, smack her head and pull on her ears, but she doesn't mind. You're her little buddy.
You still aren't walking by yourself yet but Daddy and I aren't complaining. You pull yourself up all the time and will walk all around the coffee table while holding on... you're just not quite ready to let go.
You love to brush your teeth... or atleast suck all of the toothpaste and water out of the toothbrush anyway. If you see the toothpaste sitting on the counter, you get all mad if I don't keep putting it on your toothbrush (so I hide it after refilling you twice!!).
In the morning while I'm getting ready for work, you like to watch The Wiggles. You don't know what to think of the hair dryer but you like it when my hair blows all around, it makes you smile. I tell you that I love you all morning long, it sounds like "IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII LLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE YYYYOOOOOOOOUUU!!" and then I point at you and you point back at me! We do this with Daddy too!!
On our ride to Brenda's house in the morning, we listen to your "Car Songs" cd that Mimi got you for Christmas. Your favorite song is John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmitt (I have NO IDEA if I spelled that right.). You try to sing along with the music!! Daddy thinks it's pretty cool because you say "Da da da da da" when that part of the song comes on. You love music, you like to play your flute, piano and xylophone. You learned how to take your xylophone apart and are now missing four pieces to it!!
You still don't like to wear your shoes on your feet, you like to put them on your hands and crawl around like that. You've attempted to put them on your feet several times but when Daddy or I try to help you put them on, you get mad and take them off!!
Dad, Daddy and Dada are your favorite words. Allie is "AAAAAAAAAAA" or "AAAAAAAAA EE". Mel is "Mel". Last night, Brenda told me that she had a microphone and was giving all of the kids at daycare a turn to say certain words and she said that you were the only one who would say "kitty cat"!!
You had swimming lessons this morning with Daddy and you did awesome. You're the only one who hasn't missed a class yet!! You're learning to monkey crawl on the wall and how to get out of the pool. You understand what you're supposed to do but you're not strong enough yet to pull yourself all the way out.
Here are some pictures from this month:

Ahhh...
Reason for the title?
* I love Grey's Anatomy. (Just watched it tonight, recorded it last night.) So cool that badass soldier guy took care of Christina.
* It's Friday.
* The weather is cooling down, which is good because I am really hating the summers here without a pool.
* We're going to hang out with Jenn & her family this weekend.
* The Bug is almost finished.
* Reminder... it's Friday.
* Chad's getting up with Brynn tomorrow to let me sleep in a little. What a keeper.
* UPDATE... he WAS a keeper. He just put my clean clothes on the floor because he wanted to go to bed and I was just finishing that last *. Now he just thinks he's the funniest person in the world, he's cracking up to himself right now. ;o)
*** UPDATE # 2 *** he just put my clothes back up on my side of the bed.
*** EDIT *** Chad just pointed out the reason that he put them on the floor was because there are two laundry baskets with clean clothes in them already and there isn't room to put more in them (Um, I'm sure there is...).
I hate doing laundry (or any other sort of cleaning) - can you tell?
Ok, I'll go fold some clothes...
*** UPDATE # 3 *** This morning (Saturday), I woke up at 9:00. Chad and Brynn both woke up at 9:30. Did you read that? BRYNN WOKE UP AT 9:30!!! WOW!!!

Perfectly Happy
Reading THIS STORY and briefly reading through THIS BLOG have made me realize just how lucky I am and that I am perfectly happy with having only one beautiful, healthy little girl.
In a matter of hours, this family's life was completely flipped around. I don't even know what we would do if we were in their situation. All I have to say is Scott is one tough guy. It's amazing how families pull together through things like this.
The story mentions that their medical bills are already exceeding $2,000,000. There are donation links on their blog as well.
My thoughts are with them...

Note To Self
Brynn tugging on her ears a lot doesn't mean she has an ear infection. It means she likes to tug on her ears... she's been doing it for the last few days and I kind of wondered if she was getting an ear infection but I don't have a clue because she hasn't ever had one before. (Knock on wood.) Brenda called today while I was at work and was pretty concerned because Brynn was doing quite a bit of tugging and she was also pretty needy and moody. I figured it was because she's been going swimming so much lately and maybe she had some water stuck in her ears.
Took her to the doctor and he said she's just fine. No ear infection. No fever. No fluid in her ears. No nothing. Whew. You know what that means? She's a tough little cookie and I'm a paranoid Mommy.
And just because I thought this was a super cute picture... here you go!! I love those chubby little feet!!

Update On Swimming Lessons
SHE LOVES THEM!! She has had so much fun the last two weeks!! Chad and I are alternating weeks in the pool with her, there's not a whole lot of room in the section of the pool that you're in and it just gets a little too crowded. Plus, it's good for Brynn to spend some one on one time with each of us. I'm really excited that these lessons go through December.
Here are a few pictures from Saturday morning (They're a little blurry but it's the best I could do through the glass!!):
Get that duck!!
Got it!!
Daddy's happy because he's proud of you and wants you to try again!!

COUCH or SOFA? I say COUCH. Even if it's a loveseat, it's still a couch.
Mimi, my grandma, says davenport. ;o)

Looking Back
This week, it will be a year ago that Chad lost his job, I went back to work, and Brynn started daycare at the Caudill's house!! I can't believe how fast time has flown by and how completely different our lives are than they were a year ago.
If he wouldn't have lost his job, he wouldn't have found the company that gave him the opportunity to learn a different trade. That experience got him to the amazing company that he works for now.
For all of these crazy things that have happened in the last year, I am completely grateful.

Auntie Bri's Visit!!
I completely forgot to put up a post about Auntie Bri's visit last month!! She was able to take 10 days out of her busy work and school schedule to spend some time with us. Here are some pictures from her trip, other than the ones that I posted from Tombstone!! Thanks for coming to visit Bri!! (Seriously, I need to tan.)
You can also see a bunch of posts that Bri posted in August and the beginning of September HERE.

Word Of The Day
Freeway or Highway? Chad says freeway... I say both. I get made fun of for calling it a highway though.
Or, here in AZ, you just say "The 10", "The 60", "The 202", etc.

The Nielson's
Remember when I mentioned this a couple weeks ago? The Nielson's (YAY! I DID IT!!)
WELL, I found out that Stephanie's brother Topher's wife Lisa's brother is James Valentine from Maroon 5! (I'm supposed to be getting ready for work and I'm running out of time - I'll attach a link later!) Awesome.
I also added a donate button to the right side of the page if you're interested. They're expected to have over a million dollars in medical expenses and if you're like us, there's no way that you'd be able to cover all of that by yourself. Stephanie's sister Courtney is keeping everyone updated through her blog.
I am so excited that I figured out how to hyperlink! This will be MUCH more fun now!! YAY!!

Maroon 5 ROCKS!
So, yeah. I'm still annoyed with hyperlinking. Thanks for trying Heidi but I think I'm just a dumbass at this.
Anyway... Last night, Brynn stayed the night at the Caudill's house. Brenda watches Brynn during the day so we figured it would probably be easier for Brynn just to stay there. (Thanks for the offer though Jenn!!) Brenda said that she did pretty good, she woke up once in the middle of the night and got up at her usual time this morning. I think that was a little rough on Chad and I... it's only the second night that she's been away from us!! We weren't worried about her, it was just a weird feeling not having her at home with us!!
Back to the subject of this post... Maroon 5 ROCKS!! Chad bought perfect seats, Cricket was packed and it was a lot of fun!! Augustana opened up, Maroon 5 was the second band and then the Counting Crows closed the show. We didn't end up sticking around for the Counting Crows... Chad isn't a big fan, we were exhausted, and the Counting Crows WAY too long to set up.
Our friend Rosey was exactly two rows behind us!! (Um, yeah, I would hyperlink that but I can't figure it out... so you can click on her name on my blog list instead.) I knew she was going to be there but I didn't think she'd be so close to us!! How cool is that?!
Unfortunately, we didn't bring our camera. It was supposed to rain last night and we didn't want to deal with it, so we left it at home. Since we knew we weren't going to take the camera with us, we took a pre-concert picture!! Here is my Hottie Husband Who Buys Me Awesome Birthday Presents and I:

POP... not soda... POP
(Today's word was going to be GRILL... not barbeque... but apparently we had two words of the day yesterday!!)
I'll try and put up another post tonight... Brynn spent the night at the Caudill's house last night while Chad and I went to the Maroon 5 concert! THANKS CAUDILL'S!!

Finally!
This morning we took Brynn to a playground for the first time!! We thought it was a little warm out when we walked over there but I didn't have a clue of what the temperature was. I checked it when we got home and it was 97 degrees. At 10:30am!!
I really wanted Brynn to try out the swings... at first, she didn't know what to think.
A few seconds later, she made up her mind.
Next, she and Daddy tested out the twisty slide, which she didn't want to do...
"Hmph, that wasn't as bad as I thought!!"
"OH MAN! That dumb slide messed up my hair!"
We'll wait another month until it cools down and we'll try again. She was happy on the ride home!!
