The past week!

I know, I know... I've been a slacker lately when it comes to this blog. Sorry everyone!! Stephanie, you were right... it's hard to find the time to do this now!!

Brynn is still an awesome baby, even though her schedule is out of whack from what it was a week ago! It's a little rough! Now, instead of sleeping through the night, she likes to go to bed anywhere from 10:00 and 12:00 and will sleep until anywhere from 2:00 to 5:00am. I think we got really lucky at first with her sleeping through the night. It allowed me to recover pretty well after the c-section though!! It's still not as bad as what it could be (knock on wood...) - Chad and I just love (and appreciate!) our sleep though!! I go back to the doctor on Wednesday for my follow up appointment.

The day that my mom left, Chad's mom, Jody, came back in to town from California!! She's staying with us for a few more days before heading back!! It's definately been nice having her here!! I don't know how single moms or dads do it... I have Chad here to help me out and it's also been really nice having people come and stay with us to help us out!! We're extremely blessed... to say the least!!

We had a few visitors within the last week, including some members of our Arizona family!! Jenn, Luke (Brynn's boyfriend, even though neither one of them realize it yet!), Stephanie and Morgan stopped by late last week! Here are a few pictures from their visit!!

A few days ago, Chad was getting ready to take Brynn outside for a minute and he felt bad because it was sooo bright outside, so he decided to see if her sunglasses would fit her yet!! It doesn't look like she was a big fan of the purple ones... they were way too big... so we tried the clear ones and they fit a lot better!!

Here's one that we took one last night... it's the first outfit that we've put on Brynn since she's been home besides a onezie! (Chad picked it out!) I'm a dummy and didn't realize that there was a difference between newborn clothes and 0-3 month clothes, so she has a ton of 0-3 month clothes and hardly any newborn clothes!! Oops! ;o)

My Mom

Well I had a rough night last night and the night before. Tuesday night, Mom thought it was because I was frustrated with Brynn but I was just bummed that she was heading back to Ohio yesterday. It's been REALLY nice having her here and I really didn't want her to leave. Neither did Chad. She's been great with Brynn... giving us lots of tips and ideas on what to do... but only when we asked. (Or if she could tell that we were completely stressed out...) THAT was nice. It was also really nice on those nights where Brynn just wouldn't go to sleep and Chad and I were getting stressed, she would take her and be able to calm her down for us.

We got a bunch of home cooking too... She made two batches of chocolate chip cookies and four batches of peanut butter cookies plus a bunch of other stuff - the peanut butter cookies were his favorite - that's why she made so many of them!!

For a while, Mom has been talking about getting a tattoo for Brynn. She kept putting it off and putting it off... I kept telling her a wuss because she hadn't done it yet!! Well, she finally did it yesterday!! Chad has a friend through his VW club who is a tattoo artist and he gave Mom a deal!! (It's a lot more clear now than what it was when we took these pictures...)

Thanks for everything Mom - there's no way that we could have made it through the last two and a half weeks without you!! Love you!!

Doctor's appointment

I had my two-week follow up doctor's appointment today to make sure that everything was healing how it is supposed to from the c-section. They said that everything looks good, except the incision is a little pink. So, they want me to take some medication for it and head back in there on the 15th for a follow-up. No biggie. They said I'm allowed to drive now but I'm still not supposed to do a whole lot.

The AWESOME news is that I HAVE OFFICIALLY LOST ALL OF MY BABY WEIGHT PLUS AN EXTRA SIX POUNDS!!! YAY!!!

Brynn is exactly TWO WEEKS OLD at 11:22pm tonight!! I can't believe that two weeks ago, I was 10cm dialated, Babe, my Mom, and the epidural were trying to keep me calm, and Amy was on her way to the hospital to delivery Brynn!! Time is flying by!!

Visitors!!

Yesterday we had lots of visitors... In the morning, Brenda and Tim stopped by. Shortly after they left, Jenn, her son Matt, Ann (Jenn's mom/our AZ Mom!) and Donna (Jenn's mother-in-law who I've known for about ten years!!) stopped by. While they were here, my friend Erin came by!! I've known Erin since elementary school and we recently got in touch through myspace, which has been really cool!! She just moved out here a few months ago. We haven't seen each other since high school, so it was really cool for her to meet Chad, Brynn, and for her to get to see my mom again.

All smiles!!

Ahh... today has been a much better day. See? Brynn thinks so too!! This is the first picture that we have of her smiling, we took it this morning!! Note to self... she's only 10 days old!

She slept until 7:30 this morning and then we got up, fed her and got ready to go to breakfast at Cracker Barrel with GG-Pa and GG-Ma, Grammie, Daddy and myself! GG-Pa and GG-Ma were over at our house right on time at 9:00 but I had just jumped in the shower so we didn't end up leaving until around 10:00. Reminder... we're on Brynn's schedule. Plus, I was exhausted from last night so I was a little slow getting around this morning. Brynn did great, she slept through the whole meal!! Anyway, here are a few pictures that we took this morning at our house and at breakfast. I thought these turned out really good!!

This afternoon, Laura (my boss from Waxie) and her family all came over for a visit!! They couldn't believe how much hair she has!! Here's a picture of them with Brynn.

After that visit, we gave Brynn a bath and then we all took a nap. All of us. It was AWESOME. I totally needed it, I was out! Hopefully we'll get to bed shortly and get to sleep in until atleast 8:00 tomorrow! That would be so nice!! Here's one of Brynn after her bath, all wrapped up!!
